How to Use Hyundai Dynamic Voice Recognition

Activate Dynamic Voice Recognition

First off, activate the Dynamic Voice Recognition System by pressing the button on your Hyundai steering wheel, which allows you to automatically start the Dynamic Voice Recognition System software while idling or driving.

Give a Command or Ask a Question

Next, ask a question or give a command. By speaking out your question or command the system will react.

For example, speaking out a general command, like "Sound," will cause the system to display all of the different commands that relate to that word, like "Increase sound," or "Sound tuning menu." Once these options are displayed on the monitor, choose the line number to select that command.

Respond to Follow Up Prompts

The Dynamic Voice Recognition System may ask some follow-up questions or ask the user to clarify what they have spoken depending on the command given. An example of this may be when the user speaks out "Call Bob" and the system may then ask you to select exactly which Bob in your address book you are wanting to call.

The system may also ask the user if they would like to navigate to a location such as a shopping mall or even a parking lot after you have asked the system to find it. To continue, users will need to answer "Yes" or "No" to any questions the system may ask.

Listen to Your Answer or Follow the Instructions

Asking a question such as "What is the highest temperature today?" the onboard system may respond with a few sentences predicting the answer to the question. If the user has asked for navigation assistance, the system will respond with audio directions and visually display your route on the screen.
