In terms of smartphone compatibility, Hyundai Digital Key 1.0 can be used with Android devices, and Hyundai Digital Key 2.0 can be used with both Android and Apple devices.

You can even share the key with up to three people through applications such as Apple Wallet, Samsung Pass, and Google Wallet.

Hyundai Digital Key App

The Hyundai Digital Key App was designed with convenience in mind. It uses NFC (Near-Field Communication) to unlock your car using your phone. Additionally, when you utilize the wireless-charger connectivity, it allows you to start your vehicle without the need of your key fob. Also, it enables you to program the smart card that came standard with your vehicle.

How Does Hyundai Digital Key Work?

The first step to using the Hyundai Digital Ket requires you to simply approach your driver's side door (with your phone in hand). Tap your phone on the door handle; this will unlock the door giving you easy access to the vehicle cabin. You then place your phone on the wireless charge pad and start your car without the key!
